The Ones Who Stayed Foundation banner: support for foster youth, families, and young adults in transition.

Programs

Support before crisis, during transition, and after the next placement begins.

The foundation’s programs are designed as nonclinical supports that work alongside families, agencies, schools, hospitals, and community partners.

1

Placement Stabilization Program

Provides practical support to prevent disruption when a youth or caregiver is struggling. The goal is to help families stabilize before the situation reaches psychiatric hospitalization, residential placement, or removal.

  • Caregiver support and coaching resources
  • Routine-building and practical problem solving
  • Resource connection and team communication support
2

Continuity During Treatment Program

When higher-level care cannot be avoided, the foundation can help maintain connection with the youth, caregiver, and team so discharge does not feel like starting over.

3

Placement Bridge Program

Supports youth and families before discharge, during the first days after placement, and through the fragile early weeks of adjustment.

4

Foster Family Support Network

Offers foster parent workshops, peer support, team-building exercises, and practical resource support for families caring for youth.

5

Housing Stability and Independence Program

Provides housing navigation, application support, landlord communication support, and tenancy education for eligible young adults leaving or recently out of foster care.

6

Community Thrift Store and Family Resource Center

Future public thrift store and resource center with public shopping hours and protected access times for foster youth, young adults, and caregiving families.
